The role involves diagnosing performance issues, designing hardware and software solutions, and engaging with clients to build business cases for revamping investments. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry, strong technical leadership skills, and be fluent in English and local languages.

System Performance Engineer (Power Plant Revamping)

Our client is seeking a seasoned System Performance Engineer to lead the technical analysis and optimization of aging PV plants. In this role, you will diagnose performance issues, design comprehensive hardware and software solutions, and drive strategic revamping projects.

Summary of Core Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Design : Lead a technical team in conducting in-depth performance analysis of aging PV plants. Diagnose issues and design comprehensive hardware (inverters, modules, monitoring) and software optimization solutions through simulation and data analysis to maximize energy yield.

Business Case Development & Client Engagement : Act as the primary technical interface for plant owners and O& M companies. Translate technical analyses into compelling business cases to justify the necessity and financial return (ROI) of revamping investments, driving project decisions with objective data.

Project Management & Coordination : Oversee projects from initial assessment and solution proposal through to execution. Coordinate internal design and delivery teams, monitor milestones, and provide regular weekly / monthly reporting.

Continuous Optimization Support : Collaborate with O& M teams to provide ongoing, data-driven recommendations for plant performance enhancement.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of direct experience in the photovoltaic (PV) industry.

Proven technical leadership in PV system performance and optimization.

Strong client-facing skills with experience building business cases and justifying ROI.

Fluency in English and the local language(s).
