On behalf of a leading company in EDGE video content distribution services, currently undergoing a strong growth phase also at an international level, we are looking for a

System Operations Manager

(Ref. 13/25)

Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager, the selected person will be responsible for the technical and strategic management of the production CDN infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence, coordinating activities and leading the team.

Main responsibilities:

• Resource management and operational planning to ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Managing the provisioning, configuration and optimisation of Linux systems in various server roles.
• Maintaining compliance of system configurations through management tools such as Rudder, Chef, Puppet.
• Supervising monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Prometheus) to ensure optimal performance and business continuity.
• Implementation of strategies for scalability and optimisation of the CDN infrastructure.
• Definition and application of operational best practices to promote innovation and efficiency.
• Creation of KPIs for performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Overseeing compliance with internal policies and SLAs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in Operations roles, preferably with CDN, broadcast or media focus, in a technical leadership position.
• High competence in Linux system administration, configuration management and monitoring.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of storage technologies (Ceph, ZFS) and network routing tools (FRR, Quagga).

Excellent communication skills, proactivity, strategic vision and problem solving complete the profile.

A good knowledge of the English language is indispensable.
