Supply Chain Senior Specialist – Italy - Recycling Sector - Circular Economy

Reporting to the Group COO, the candidate will be responsible for supporting all logistics and operational activities in Italy and abroad. He or she will coordinate the flow of materials and liaise with Customer Service for all operational activities for existing and new Italian customers. He or she will manage and develop relationships with local service and logistics providers. Prioritize operational profitability and manage issues for existing customers.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Manage relationships with Italian material manufacturers / suppliers
  • Be the customer service point of contact for problem management, managing and recording weekly or monthly customer meetings
  • Promote weekly load increases in close dialogue with the operations team in Denmark (Headquarters)
  • Gather customer forecast information and integrate it into planning
  • Ensure invoicing accuracy and clarity by documenting ad hoc changes
  • Request payment, resolve invoicing issues, settle outstanding amounts (complaints), and negotiate settlement for management approval if a credit note is required.
  • Management and overview of complaints together with the complaints manager
  • Active involvement in planning the launch of a new route
  • Manage and develop relationships with all Italian logistics providers, supporting them in participating in tenders and researching new local solutions and providing logistics market information
  • Ensure local agreements are aligned with the operations team in Denmark
  • Resolve operational issues
  • Support Headquarters operations in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the Italian side
  • Support for the Italian RENTRI waste registration system
  • Consult the Italian ADR consultant in case of concrete issues
  • Participate in SOP meetings and kick‑off meetings with customers and logistics service providers
  • Support at the trade fair (Ecomondo)
  • Validate payment and reporting, pay invoices in Italy
  • The role will include operational excellence travel and meetings both locally and abroad, including visits to customers and logistics service providers when necessary.
Requirements
  • Degree in Economics and Business or equivalent qualification
  • Technical training in the waste sector, particularly in waste disposal operations
  • Solid experience in similar role, Logistics, Customer service management and contractual and organizational management of freight forwarders
  • Experience in the waste sector
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Customer service‑oriented mindset, problem‑solving, leadership, organizational skills, strategic and commercial vision
