Specialist Occupational Therapist – Community Mental Health Services

Apply to join NHS Scotland in a part‑time position within the South Community Mental Health Service.

This is a part‑time permanent contract for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, with a workload of 18.7 hours per week. The salary will be pro‑rata for the part‑time hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing mental health/occupational therapy assessment and treatment for individuals and groups residing in the south side of Glasgow.
  • Developing and delivering appropriate interventions for adults with mental health difficulties.
  • Working collaboratively with other health‑care professionals within the Adult Community Mental Health Team.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Working experience in a mental health context.
  • Strong core occupational therapy skills with effective verbal and written communication.
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
  • PVG Scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
  • Driving licence desirable.

You will receive operational and professional support and supervision from the Lead Occupational Therapist, and access to training for continuous professional development.
