Introduction to the team

We are the Acquisition Marketing & Growth (AMG) team that shapes the first impressions of millions of travelers entering our ecosystem. We’re looking for a motivated, curious, and creative thinker to help build and elevate the upper-funnel landing experience for customers.

As an integral member of the AMG team, you will design and implement engaging entry points for users across channels including direct traffic, paid advertising, organic SEO, SEM, social platforms, and emerging ones like AEO and GEO. Our goal is to craft a contextual and personalized experience that draws customers in and supports them as they explore and find the perfect travel options within the Expedia ecosystem.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to the development of features for the traveler experience across all Expedia Group brands’ landing pages
• Collaborate with team members to co-develop and solve problems
• Implement code that adheres to high-quality standards and utilizes best practices
• Proactively reach out to peers across environments and collaborate to solve problems
• Build basic automation, monitoring, and logging practices into daily tasks to develop technical expertise
• Understand your team’s goals and work in a collaborative mode
• Seek knowledge from subject matter experts when needed
• Understand the importance of system and technology integration and basic features involved in the integration process
• Develop and test standard software applications to meet design requirements
• Apply software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals to write clean, maintainable, optimized code
• Participate in communities of practice aligned with your technology stack
• Actively seek feedback and improve software usability and quality
• Report clearly on current work status

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• 0–2 years of hands-on software development experience, ideally in large-scale or enterprise environments
• Experience designing and implementing features based on known design principles and coding standards
• Proficient in at least one server-side language (e.g., Java, Kotlin) and experience with GraphQL/RESTful services
• Frontend libraries and frameworks: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React.js, Node.js
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS is a plus
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing with frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Cypress, or Selenium
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Good understanding of data patterns, storage, software development theory and design
