The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Software Development Engineer with a strong machine learning background, to build customization capabilities such as fine tuning, distillation, model evaluation, prompt optimization, etc.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a SDE with the AGI team, you will be responsible for leading the development of novel LLM training techniques and optimizations to advance the state of LLMs. You will collaborate closely with Applied Scientists and leverage Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large‑scale computing resources to accelerate development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling) for new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
