Verification and Validation Expert
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team.
The position is based in Italy, with offices in Pistoia, Roma, Genova, and Bologna. Founded in 1958, we have been servicing railway infrastructure for over sixty years, continuously pursuing innovation and cutting-edge technology.
Our Computer Based Interlocking system is scalable and flexible, managing hundreds of miles of railway from a central control room. We provide comprehensive signaling solutions for various railway infrastructure needs worldwide.
This role involves executing technical activities and analyses to demonstrate product/application compliance with entry requirements and applicable regulations/norms.
You will manage planned technical activities at the hardware, software, and system/sub-system levels, utilizing main tools for these activities.
You will report issues encountered during activities to the Project Manager to facilitate problem resolution, adhering to the work program.
You will be able to prepare initial revisions of Product and/or Generic Application and Specific Application Safety Cases, depending on the context.
You will provide technical support for safety decisions during audits and test witnessing with assessors and customers.
You will manage external technical interfaces with suppliers for monitoring and completing verification and validation activities when applicable.
You will perform tests and checks directly on plants to verify real operating conditions when applicable.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (electronic, electric, computer science, telecommunication) or equivalent experience is required.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Visual Studio, AutoCAD (as viewer), MS Project, and Windows OS is expected.
Experience with FMEA, FTA, Hazard Analysis, document inspections, fault injection tests, HW/SW integration tests, and module tests with tools like Cantata or VectorCAST is required.
Languages: Italian (native or equivalent), English required. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, or German are a plus.
