A leading medical technologies company in Milan is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and test C++ software for advanced surgical technologies. You will mentor junior engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in regulated industries, alongside strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Real-Time OS and medical device experience is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and test C++ software based on requirements and architecture
• Develop and review software requirements and design documentation
• Debug and troubleshoot software, perform integration and system-level tests
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and QA teams

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s in CS, CE, or related field
• 5+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years in regulated industries
• Experience with C++, hardware interfaces, source control, and Windows tools
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and spoken English

Nice to Have

Real-Time OS, robotics, C#, UML, medical device experience
