Senior Set and Exhibition Designer / Event Creative Director (Architect)

Meridiano is a well-established event and communication agency based in Rome.

We’re growing fast and working on several exciting new projects and we’re looking for an Architect to join our creative team as Event Creative Director.

Your Role

As Senior Set and Exhibition Designer / Event Creative Director , you’ll bring creative concepts to life, from corporate conventions to immersive live experiences, combining aesthetics, innovation and functionality.

You’ll lead the architectural and scenographic design process, collaborating with creative, production, graphic and account teams to deliver unique, memorable environments.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and define creative concepts for events, installations and temporary structures.
• Conduct onsite surveys and inspections to analyze spaces and collect all technical and creative data.
• Create detailed design plans, renderings and mood boards for client presentations.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external creative teams, ensuring visual impact and consistency.
• Work closely with production, project management and direction teams for smooth project execution.
• Research innovative materials and solutions for staging and set design.
• Oversee the full creative process, from concept to realization.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout all project phases, including onsite collaboration.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role.
• Good knowledge of English (B1 level or higher).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership, team motivation and time management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure while delivering outstanding results.
• Willingness to travel for surveys and onsite events coordination.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Auto CAD (or any DWG-compatible software).
• Experience with Blender or 3ds Max + V-Ray (or equivalent 3 D rendering tools).
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop; Premiere Pro and After Effects are a plus).
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Power Point.
