Job Purpose / Role

Based in Milan and reporting to the Property Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy in the Italian market. You will support the local strategy to achieve Allianz Mid Corporate targets and act as the contact person for agents and brokers working with the Property team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with authority, pricing, and rating guidelines.
• Manage the portfolio locally with the Head of Property to meet financial targets.
• Collaborate with functional areas to review underwriting performance.
• Work with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and other lines to achieve marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
• Maintain underwriting discipline and adherence to guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
• Support development and implementation of new or modified products.
• Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing clients, including negotiations.
• Communicate local business strategy externally.

Key Requirements / Skills / Experience

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or Law.
• At least 5 years of experience in underwriting profitable Property business for Corporate Clients, including PD/BI and Theft.
• Preferred experience with Multinational clients and knowledge of Liability.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Expertise in risk assessment and policy lifecycle management.
• Strong market analysis and pricing knowledge.
• Experience in designing and implementing policy wordings.
• Experience in underwriting projects is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Data analytics skills.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and collaborative tools.
