Senior Power BI Engineer

Open position: Senior Power BI Engineer. To strengthen our international team, we are seeking a Senior Power BI Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade analytics and reporting solutions built on the Azure Data Platform (Power BI, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps) for one of our Clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, high-performance Power BI datasets and reports using Databricks (Gold layer) and SQL-based metadata.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into efficient, maintainable Power BI solutions.
• Optimize large-scale data models and refresh pipelines through incremental refresh, partitioning, and query folding.
• Maintain and enhance Azure Data Factory pipelines, Azure Functions, and YAML-based CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps to support automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure data quality, security (RLS), and governance across the Power BI ecosystem.
• Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team, actively contributing to shared goals and supporting peers in solving technical and analytical challenges.
• Work mode: 100% remote.

Competenze richieste

• 5+ years of professional experience in Power BI development (data modeling, DAX, performance tuning, visualization).
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines).
• Excellent SQL skills and understanding of metadata-driven modeling.
• Proven ability to work across business and technical teams, supporting requirement definition and solution design.
• Experience with Databricks and PySpark is a significant advantage and will help integrate reporting with upstream data transformations.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills, proactive mindset, and collaborative approach.
• Fluency in English.
