Core Marketplace Team

• Mission: Provide transversal functional capabilities to be consumed by all tribes, building and maintaining technical blocks for B2C and B2B customer‑facing functionalities.
• Scope includes bookings, offers and availability.
• Not directly in charge of end‑user feature implementation; instead, supports customer‑facing teams by providing capabilities, testing, documentation and best practices.
• Team of 4 engineers, mostly senior profiles, distributed across France, Italy and contractors in Romania.

Technical Stack

• React & GraphQL for web front‑end
• NodeJS & Typescript for backend services in a microservice‑based architecture
• Json RPC for internal communications
• PHP / Symfony for legacy components being decommissioned
• PostgreSQL & ElasticSearch for storage
• RabbitMQ for domain events
• Datadog for 24×7 monitoring
• 100% Kubernetes & AWS for orchestration & hosting

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the team’s roadmap and work closely with the product manager on functional and technical discovery of new features.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on development and delivery of features.
• Help QA during testing and validation.
• Collaborate transversally with other tribes to build cross‑functional functionalities.
• Produce relevant documentation for the team’s scope.
• Continuously enhance processes and KPIs.

Critical Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with 6‑10 years of experience building backend services and applications.
• Solid background in web technologies.
• Rigorous, dynamic, curious with an agile mindset and strong team spirit.
• Experience building software with a problem‑solving approach using customer inputs (“Product Discovery”).
• Ability to challenge product and stakeholder decisions, think first, monitor, document and communicate post‑release.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns, DDD, TDD, BDD.
• Proficient in English.

Desirable Additions

• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain work to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of GraphQL and PHP/Symfony useful for the position.
• Good understanding of SQL databases and queries.
• Comfortable working in a distributed remote team across several locations within the same timezone.
