A well-known industrial firm is seeking a Sales Manager for North America to lead the sales of industrial water treatment plants and dewatering systems. This role encompasses the entire sales cycle, including strategic planning, new business development, and relationship management. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in selling complex industrial solutions, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong background in water treatment technologies. Fluent English is mandatory, with a willingness to travel extensively across the USA and Canada.

Matec Industries is seeking a

Sales Manager – North America

to develop and strengthen its presence in the United States and Canada. The role is responsible for the sales of industrial water treatment plants and dewatering systems, including filter presses and pumps

The position covers both core markets and general industrial sectors, managing end users, EPC contractors, general contractors, and distribution partners

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the North American commercial strategy in line with Matec Industries’ global objectives
  • Develop new business opportunities in both core and emerging industrial sectors
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical‑commercial proposals, negotiation, and contract closure
  • Achieve sales targets, margin objectives, and order intake goals
  • Build long‑term relationships with end users, EPC contractors, system integrators, and engineering firms
  • Act as a technical‑commercial reference point for customers, proposing optimized solutions based on process requirements
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory frameworks related to water treatment and environmental compliance
  • Identify, develop, and manage distributors, agents, and strategic partners across the USA and Canada
  • Establish commercial targets, pricing guidelines, and performance KPIs
  • Provide continuous commercial and technical support to partners
  • Maintain a structured sales pipeline and accurate sales forecasts
  • Report performance to top management and propose corrective actions when needed
  • Contribute to budgeting and long‑term strategic planning
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience 5–10+ years in the sale of industrial plants or engineered equipment
  • Strong background in water treatment, dewatering systems, filter presses, pumps, or related technologies
  • Proven experience in the North American markets (USA and Canada)
  • Demonstrated ability to sell complex, high‑value, customized solutions
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of solid‑liquid separation and industrial water treatment processes
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and contract management skills
  • Ability to work independently within a matrix and international organization
  • Results‑driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset

Languages and Mobility
  • Fluent English (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Italian and / or Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the USA and Canada (50–70%)
