A global material solutions company is seeking a Sales Manager to lead sales strategies and develop customer relationships across Northern Italy. Candidates should have 8-10 years of relevant sales experience and a degree in Economics or Business. Fluency in both Italian and English is essential for this dynamic role. We’re looking for a dynamic Sales professional to formulate and implement sales tactics to develop existing customers and seek out new opportunities. The role is for North Italy and focuses on achieving maximum profitable growth and sales objectives in line with Sibelco’s vision and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for the sales of Sibelco group products and achieving maximum profitable growth and sales objectives (volume, Net Sales, and Gross Margin) in Northern Italy in line with Sibelco’s vision, strategic objectives & policies.
  • Visit customers and potential customers, identify new sales opportunities, commercialize new products, and develop sales into new applications.
  • Develop market intelligence by understanding customer needs, competitors, trends, and local legislation to retain and extend the customer portfolio.
  • Develop and achieve budgeted sales targets year after year.
  • Set prices and payment terms in line with Sibelco’s pricing and payment structures for the region and achieve end financial targets, including receivables and payment terms.
  • Partner with Operations & Supply Chain to provide timely information to plan activities short-, medium-, and long-term.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Business or Marketing.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in a sales role, ideally in the mineral industry or related industry.
  • Proven track record of gaining and maintaining lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience selling a technical product portfolio is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team.
  • Self-drive: high-energy, creative, resourceful, pragmatic problem solver.
  • Results-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment.
  • Full proficiency in Italian as well as English.
