A Sales Manager analyses local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, suggest and implement hotel sales plans aligned with business objectives, leveraging these plans to drive sales efforts across all market segments, including Leisure, Groups, and Meetings & Events
  • Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with a strong emphasis on key leisure accounts, particularly within luxury consortia
  • Coach, mentor, and guide the sales team to strengthen their skills, encourage collaboration, and boost overall performance
  • Manage RFPs and lead contract negotiations for FITs, wholesalers, and high‑end travel agencies
  • Collaborate closely with the Groups, Meetings & Events Department to generate and convert business for groups, congresses, and social events, mainly weddings
  • Proactively prospect and generate new business with a strong focus on international markets through outbound calls, client visits, Fam Trips, trade shows, and roadshows
  • Act as a role model and inspire the hotel team through leading by example
Qualifications
  • Highly skilled in all modes of communication: spoken, written, and non‑verbal
  • Ability to adapt to shifting business priorities and varying market focuses
  • Proficiency in maintaining composure and objectivity under pressure, including tight deadlines and demanding travel schedules
  • Operate both independently on travel arrangements and sales planning, and collaboratively within the team to drive business conversion
  • Fluency in Italian and English; proficiency in other languages is an asset
  • Experience in a sales role with the proven ability to drive results
  • Committed to the highest standards of quality and performance
  • Self‑motivated and self‑driven with a proactive approach
  • Background in lifestyle or luxury hospitality is a plus
