Overview

Morimatsu Energies & Materials is starting a new operation office in Milan, Italy in 2025 to support the company’s business in Europe region. We are seeking a professional to drive sales and project coordination activities with European clients and partners in Energy and Chemical Industry, including but not limited to End Users, EPC Contractors, Technology Licensors, Project Developers etc. This role focuses on business development, customer relationship management and project coordination for company’s pressure vessel manufacturing and modular EPF (engineering, procurement, fabrication) business.

Product Portfolio and Targeted Market
  • Design & Supply of Pressure Vessels, including Reactors, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Drums, etc.
  • Modular EPF (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication) Solution for Chemical, O&G, Green Energy Process Plants.
  • Pre‑FEED / FEED engineering consultancy to promote modular solutions for potential customers.
  • Chemical / Fine Chemical.
  • Oil & Gas (Off‑shore & On‑shore).
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage new clients and project opportunities in Europe with deep understanding of company’s technical characteristics and connections in the industry network.
  • Participate in industrial events to explore potential customers and projects, improving market awareness by presenting the company at selected exhibitions and forums.
  • Improve customer relationships by providing professional and localized sales & project coordination service, gaining insight during project bidding to improve the win rate of bids, and building and maintaining strong top‑management connections with European customers and partners.
  • Follow up front‑end and firm project opportunities, manage proposals and clarifications with support from the Asian headquarters sales team.
  • Visit clients on a routine basis to maintain and improve network quality and depth within the client’s organization.
  • Support communication with clients for after‑sales requests.
  • Support project meetings led by the project manager to improve communication quality and efficiency when necessary. Strong communication skills and problem‑solving thinking are required.
  • Assist the project manager in negotiating with the client for change orders and liquidated damages for delay/quality.
  • Assist the project/procurement manager for coordination meetings with European local suppliers.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years working experience in the chemical/energy industry; background in EPC contractor, process licensor or pressure vessel manufacturer is preferred.
  • Prior experience in sales or project management in previous positions.
  • Knowledge of ASME VIII, PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445, and other relevant pressure equipment standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering documentation (e.g., P&ID, datasheets, drawings, specifications).
  • Mechanical or Process Engineering background is preferred.
Soft Skills
  • Fluent English as the working language is a must.
  • Italian and other European languages will be a plus.
  • Responsible and rigorous personality, strong negotiation, problem‑solving, and intercultural communication skills.
  • Strong capability and willingness to learn and shift skill sets into different industry applications.
  • Capability to work under pressure and accept working extra time when necessary to meet deadlines.
Other
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Europe and occasionally to global project sites.
  • Valid EU work permit or residence required.
  • Availability to work in Segerate, Milan during workdays.
