About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D department. In this role, you will manage projects from concept to completion, build industry‑leading solutions for our customers, and create technical solutions that meet the highest standards of precision, quality, and performance.

You will be responsible for identifying and selecting solutions that comply with project specifications and for designing and validating innovative solutions when necessary. You will collaborate closely with the Project Engineering team and the R&D team on new machine developments.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Working on kinematic calculations and cam design;
  • Using mechanical simulations to validate and optimize machine performance;
  • Designing advanced innovation applications for current machine models, as well as developing new machine solutions;
  • Identifying and addressing the parameters needed to design the product;
  • Defining and managing critical design parameters, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and legal requirements;
  • Designing and developing cost‑effective changes of machine parts according to customer requirements.

The position will be based in Bologna (BO), Italy.

What you need to be successful
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
  • At least 3/4 years of experience in mechanical design and calculations, ideally in the automation machinery sector;
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings and CAD software (preferably Solidworks);
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and regulations;
  • Motivation to become specialized in advanced machine design;
  • Strong communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken);
  • Availability to travel.
