Position Overview

This position reports to the Quality Control Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the deployment of the Quality strategy for a local ABB organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams. The goal is to achieve and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. You will assist the organization in balancing prevention, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions. Collaboration with local functions impacting quality results is essential to reach organizational targets.

Work Model

The work model for this role is On-site.

Location

This role contributes to the Smart Power business in the Quality center based in Vignate (MI).

Key Accountabilities
  • Promote and support the deployment of the local Quality and Operational Excellence (Q&OpEx) strategy to accelerate improvements and drive cost savings.
  • Establish and implement Q&OpEx priorities and targets, monitor progress, and address deviations.
  • Train and coach local teams in quality improvement methods to build continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Conduct benchmarking and share best practices to foster operational excellence.
  • Assist in creating and implementing standardized instructions and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of customer requirements.
  • Promote the Voice of the Customer, ensuring risks and solutions are evaluated from the stakeholder perspective.
Qualifications
  • Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical drawings and models.
  • Interest in developing a career in the quality area.
  • Brief experience in assembly wiring and/or fabrication is a plus.
  • Driving license type B and availability for short trips within the country to ABB production plants.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, and web applications.
  • Good written and communication skills in Italian and English, team working, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.
