This Position reports to :

Responsibilities

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will act as the responsible engineer for project with different level of complexity: engineering discipline leader on small projects or portions of larger projects. You will complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

• In this role, you\'ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
• Engineering development of protection relays and control systems
• Programming project-specific applications efficiently and meeting customer requirements, ensuring proper functionality and interfacing to other systems.
• You will carry out acceptance testing (FAT and SAT) of Protection and Control systems in cooperation with other colleagues and customers, following the health and safety regulations.
• You are also responsible for creating and reviewing technical customer documentation for your projects.
• You will participate in the commissioning of the application on customer sites.
• This position offers you excellent opportunities to develop as an expert in protection and control products and systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a technical field, preferably in Electrical or Automation. A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree is considered a plus.
• Good general working knowledge on HMIs, PLCs and I/Os, preferably with ABB products, as well on Windows-based operating systems
• Understanding of control system topologies and communication protocols
• You work well both independently and as a part of a team. You seek solutions actively, instead of focusing on problems
• Interaction with both customers and other ABB team is an important part of this job
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and have a good command of English
• Willingness to travel is required to some extent, to ensure successful completion of the delivery projects
