Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in the relevant discipline after earning the BSc degree
  • Proven excellent spoken and written English skills, including the ability to write specifications and reports
Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the overall technical integrity of underwater pipeline and riser system design, including design, structural, and flow assurance aspects
  • Ensuring compliance of underwater pipeline and riser systems with international standards, company guidelines, and best practices
  • Verifying the accuracy of cost and schedule estimates for underwater pipeline and riser systems
  • Managing the timely execution of subsea production systems and pipelines within budget and project specifications
  • Ensuring designs are suitable for project execution, including detailed design by contractors
  • Minimizing design and construction changes unless required for safety or operability reasons
  • Applying HSEQ standards and meeting health, safety, environmental, and quality targets
Key Activities
  • Defining design premises for underwater pipeline and riser systems, including structural and flow assurance aspects
  • Specifying geotechnical, geophysical, and met oceanographic surveys and studies
  • Designing underwater pipeline routing and riser system layout
  • Supervising internal and subcontracted design activities
  • Material selection and specification
  • Preparing ITT and evaluating bid proposals
  • Planning and monitoring procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
  • Ensuring quality assurance from design through start-up
  • Estimating costs and schedules for underwater systems
  • Monitoring subsea production systems and pipelines to ensure schedule, cost, and quality compliance
  • Conducting design reviews and contractor engineering evaluations
  • Adopting appropriate FISE standards per company procedures and local regulations
  • Managing contractors and suppliers, including troubleshooting construction issues
  • Leading engineering teams and site supervisors
  • Reviewing and approving or rejecting variation requests and claims from contractors
  • Providing technical support during installation and commissioning
  • Supporting facilities handover and permitting processes
