Une entreprise de haute technologie à Catania recherche un ingénieur pour coordonner la transition entre la recherche et la production de substrats de carbure de silicium. Ce rôle implique d'assurer l'acceptation des nouveaux équipements, de surveiller leur performance et d'optimiser les processus de fabrication. Les candidats doivent avoir un doctorat ou un master dans un domaine scientifique pertinent, de solides compétences en metrologie, ainsi qu'une bonne maîtrise de l'anglais. You will be a key contributor to SiC Technology volume ramp-up in ST. The work location will be in the new mass-production fab in Catania for the manufacturing of SiC substrate wafers, this facility will be a first of a kind in Europe for the production in volume of SiC epitaxial substrates, integrating all steps in the production flow.

Strong link is maintained with STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, located in Norrköping, Sweden, with opportunities for on-site training and collaboration. STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, previously named Norstel AB, is the ST competence center in SiC material technology: the company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University, and since 2006 in a dedicated production facility in Norrköping.

Your main task will be to ensure a smooth transition between the R&D activities and the mass-production fab in particular with the qualification of new measurement equipment and the monitor of their behavior in production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the technology transfer between the R&D and the mass-production fab
• Acceptance and Qualification of new metrology tools
• Monitor of tools performances in the production environment and perform troubleshooting on equipment faults
• Create new recipes and/or define the best metrology strategy to support the need of other production steps
• Define and perform Measurement System Analysis to ensure tool capability
• Process optimization to improve quality, cost, or cycle time, with a focus on measurement step

Profile

Knowledge, Skills and capabilities:

• PhD or Master in scientific faculty, e.g. in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry
• Experience in silicon processing and flow knowledge is a plus
• Precision, attention to details and good manual skills
• Fluent English is a must
• Good communication skills and able to work in a team
• Committed, Proactive and Curious
