The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a related role, showcasing strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills. You will support the sales team, demonstrate product value, and ensure successful client onboarding. Knowledge of EPM products and fluency in Italian and English are mandatory. We are looking for a highly motivated and results‑driven Pre‑Sales and Consultant Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong blend of technical expertise and functional knowledge, combined with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

With a solid understanding of software solutions and emerging technologies, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team, engaging with potential clients, and demonstrating the value of our products and delivering business solutions. Your contributions will be essential in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our company.

This role requires a strong grasp of customer needs, solution scoping, and implementation strategies. You will be responsible for supporting sales activities in presales, defining project requirements, shaping projects’ activity breakdowns, and ensuring successful delivery.

In a nutshell
  • You have 5 to 10 years of experience in a presales and/or consulting role, with a background in consulting companies and/or software vendors.
  • You have experience with multi‑dimensional planning models and a deep knowledge of the EPM in at least one of those products: Adaptive Insights (Workday), Anaplan, Board, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Jedox, Planful, Vena.
  • You have strong communication and public speaking skills.
Responsibilities
  • Support the technical aspects of the sales process, create and deliver impactful demos, perform product presentations, deploy projects, and provide post‑production support.
  • Conduct POCs and oversee onboarding processes for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of our products.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to streamline the sales process, contribute to RFP/RFI completion, and enhance customer relationships.
  • Provide training to potential clients and business partners, either on‑site or remotely, to ensure they are well‑equipped to utilize our solutions.
  • Develop and refine technical documentation, presentations, training materials, and case studies to support sales efforts.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of standardized solutions and localized documentation.
  • Offer technical support for customizations, integrations, and new feature development as needed.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team and partners to provide second‑layer support when necessary.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Engineering Management preferred; a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Economics is also acceptable.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a Pre‑Sales or Technical Consulting role in the BI, CPM or Decision Intelligence space.
  • Background in consulting companies and/or software vendors in BI, CPM or Decision Intelligence space.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Understanding of business functional processes in planning, data management, and business intelligence.
  • Advanced ability to work with cutting‑edge technologies.
  • Knowledge of the software industry and emerging technologies is mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of finance and operations principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Mother tongue Italian and fluent in English.
