A leading company in proton therapy is seeking a Physics Service Engineer to oversee equipment installation and provide technical support. The ideal candidate will have a relevant postgraduate degree, experience in High Energy Physics, and excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a fixed-term contract and a possibility of extension, focused on improving patient care through advanced technology.

IBA is proud to collaborate with the Oncology Referral Center, Centro di Riferimento Oncologico IRCCS to bring advanced cancer treatment to more patients.
As a Physics Service Engineer, you will initially participate in the full installation of IBA’s proton therapy equipment during the first year of the project (installation, calibration and commissioning activities on the Proton Therapy Centre). Once installation is completed, your role will be to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly.
The installation is expected to be completed within 11 months with a start planned on May-June 2026. The start date may be adjusted if necessary. The contract will start around January 2026, followed by training until the start of the installation (in Italy, Belgium and abroad).
We offer a fixed-term contract of 15 months with the possibility of extension (4 months of training + 11 months of the installation).
