The Role

The Operations Manager Production & IT is responsible for overseeing the execution of event architectural production and technology infrastructure, ensuring integration with the official plan during the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 in Milan. This role guarantees that all production elements, including audiovisual, lighting, and IT systems, are fully compliant with design specifications and operational standards. The supervisor will collaborate closely with the design team, technical teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution while maintaining high service standards. This position reports directly to the Operations Director.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the execution of event architectural production and technology infrastructure, ensuring all elements align with the official plan and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with the design team, technical teams, and internal departments to optimize production and IT operations.
  • Ensure all production elements, including audiovisual, lighting, and IT systems, comply with venue requirements, design specifications, safety regulations, and technical standards.
  • Supervise the setup, integration, and troubleshooting of audiovisual, lighting, and IT systems to guarantee seamless execution during the event.
  • Support production and IT teams by ensuring effective communication and workflow during setup and event operations.
  • Report progress, challenges, and recommendations to the Operations Director to facilitate smooth execution and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in event production, operations, or IT within hospitality, entertainment, or events.
  • Expertise in AV, IT infrastructure, and system integration.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and adaptability skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
  • Based in Milan.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance, and emergency planning.
  • Experience in sustainable practices and commitment to sustainability.
