Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Network Operations Team.
- Ensure the best quality of service for the network infrastructure.
- Develop and assess the skills of team members.
- Monitor and ensure completion of activities and projects.
- Technically support teams during the analysis and troubleshooting phase.
- Approve strategies to improve network capacity and performance.
- Plan standard infrastructure expansion according to business requirements.
- Lead network upgrade projects.
- Manage incident and communication with internal teams.
- Administer vendors and coordinate ISP relations.
- Evaluate network services and providers.
- Manage budget to ensure the best solutions.
- Plan and organize disaster recovery and business continuity test.
- Ensure that security standards are maintained in procedures and configurations.
- Collaborate with other teams to address complex network problems.
- Review and validate configurations, operating procedures, and documentation.
- Provide support as an escalation point for the Network Operation Team.
- Support customer‑facing teams with technical details.
- Review detailed reports on network performance, capacity planning and project status.
- Identify and propose improvements to network infrastructure and operations.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Telco network operations and engineering or ISP.
- Preferred experience with or exposure to CDN infrastructures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of: ISP, Internet Exchange, Transit, Edge on net services, peering configurations and troubleshooting, dynamic routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, data center, colocation, racking, powering, interconnections, LOA, L2/L3 connectivity.
- Knowledge of network devices and configurations.
- Experience with Linux for network monitoring and tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- People and time management.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Project management skills.
Certifications
- CCNP or CCIE or equivalent certifications are preferred.
