Responsibilities
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking is completed for new equipment.
  • Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.

  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required. Applicants must have a reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and be able to travel as the company’s transportation is not provided.

Day in the Life
  • Provide the first‑level networking devices to serve customer racks: track rack intake and delivery, coordinate rack space, power, and cooling requests with onsite teams, and partner with network engineers to ensure configurations are ready. Work within defined SLA for link and device troubleshooting.
  • Build console and room environments to increase space and capacity for customer racks.
  • Collaborate with ID‑Scaling peers to build higher‑level networking devices.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • 1+ year of technical work with computer systems and technology components, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains (compute servers, storage, network devices, etc.) and IT service delivery principles.
  • Data center experience and industry‑standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, Network+.
  • Experience with tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDRs, and power meters.
  • Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
