The ideal candidate has a Bachelor or Master’s degree and experience in the molecular diagnostics field. Frequent travel (around 75%) is required. This position is essential for enhancing customer accounts within the territory.

Competenze

  • Experience in molecular laboratory field is mandatory.
  • Experience in sales is preferred but not mandatory if strong in molecular diagnostics.
  • Fluent in local language and English.

Job Description

Primary Function

Molecular Account Executive is responsible for managing and expanding molecular activities for assigned customers in the defined country territory. The role includes acting as an advisor/consultant to customers. Account Manager is responsible for retention and value expansion with assigned Abbott existing accounts and new possible accounts.

Major Responsibilities
  • New business acquisition
  • Renewals of expiring contracts or new tender issued by existing customers, ensuring price negotiations give customers the right prices
  • Establish value propositions and build business cases
  • Post‑sale involvement with customers
  • Develop broad relationships with key molecular lab stakeholders, including decision‑making units such as clinicians and purchasing departments
  • Serve customers’ requests and forward them to the Service department on technical and application questions
  • Become an advisor/consultant to customers on lab productivity, use, and design
  • Work actively in CRM system to keep customer data up to date, report activities and market data
  • Serve as single point of contact that responds to customers promptly
Education
  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent
Background
  • Experience from IVD laboratory diagnostics business
  • Experience from sales preferred but not mandatory if having strong experience from the molecular diagnostic field
  • Experience in the molecular laboratory field mandatory
  • Strong experience maintaining and developing customer relationships
  • Native in local language/English & other languages advantageous
  • Account Manager requires regular average 70% travel activity
