At Santos, we do work that matters and always have. When you join us, so will you.

As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)

We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, is entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.

The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.

As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.

What you’ll do:

Based in Roma in Santos’ Logistics Hub, this position focuses on performing warehouse tasks to ensure the timely supply of inventory, along with the receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials. We are looking for an experienced Material Controller keen to advance your career in a busy and supportive team environment.

This is a 2 on/ 2 off residential role (home each night) so we are seeking a Roma based local candidate.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Accurately receive, store, and dispatch goods, maintaining inventory integrity and completing required system transactions
  • Ensure proper quality control and preservation of materials and equipment within the warehouse
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting issues, delays, deficiencies, and safety concerns through the SCIF process
  • Carry out all activities in compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation governing goods handling and storage.
What you’ll bring:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate with prior experience in a similar Warehousing role, ideally within heavy industry. Your proactive attitude and great communication skills are key along with your keen ability to take ownership for delivering safe and efficient outcomes. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience performing a range of warehousing and distribution tasks
  • Proficient utilising lifting equipment and managing materials, including receipting, cataloguing, and handling purchasing‑related tasks within an ERP (SAP) database.
  • Collaboration skills for both internal teams and external partners to ensure we achieve our commercial objectives.
  • Prior experience in working autonomously and prioritising tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Forklift licence and experience required
  • Ability to complete tasks requiring heavy or complex lifting
What you’ll get:

Here, you’ll be amongst high‑calibre people and get to work on industry‑leading projects. We don’t shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.

At Santos, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you’ll play a role in this too.

Each of our sites offer access to specific amenities that aim to create the best possible benefits to your health, wellbeing and performance.

What you’re part of:

Everywhere you turn you will be a part of a team who are coming together to contribute to our single uniting purpose - to provide reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.

And because it’s not only what you do, but how you do it, you will also contribute to improving the living standards of the communities where we operate, building enduring and respectful relationships that serve a generation. It’s about each of us, and all of us – together.

How to Apply:

Applications must be submitted via the online recruitment system before COB 5th February 2026.
