For a leading company in the Food & Beverage sector, part of an important European group, we are looking for organic expansion:

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER | GDO

The job purpose of the Key Account Manager (KAM), a key part of the Italian Sales Team, is to support and implement sustainable and profitable growth within the Italian GDO Market. The candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining long-term relationships with clients, and maximising sales opportunities within them. They will also build relationships with new clients and follow existing customers in Northern Italy. Additionally, they will support team efforts in driving company-wide projects.

Main Areas of Responsibility:
  1. Manage strategic customers, focusing on growing and developing existing clients and generating new business, particularly in the GDO channel.
  2. Participate in new business pitches and oversee the onboarding of new clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  3. Develop and achieve sales targets as required by the company.
  4. Act as the key interface between the customer and relevant divisions.
  5. Achieve sales goals while motivating colleagues.
  6. Build new business relationships using existing industry contacts.
  7. Deliver sales presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Manage client relationships, providing excellent service and support.
  9. Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing department to gather and send suggestions for improvement and conduct market research.
Requirements:

We will select applications with the following characteristics:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Management, or relevant fields, or proven sales experience using main tools and techniques.
  2. 1-2 years of sales experience managing important customers in the GDO market as a KAM; proven ability to build collaborative relationships; knowledge of organic food is a plus.
  3. Good knowledge of managing and monitoring Financial KPIs and developing forecast accuracy.
  4. Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Knowledge of Business English.
  6. Strong negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication, self-motivation.
  7. Ability to support growth opportunities, familiarity with customer approach in GDO retail, and understanding of sales and marketing principles.
