Position Summary :

HCL Software Rome Lab is looking for JAVA DEVELOPERS

The HCL Rome Lab is one of the few opportunities in Rome to work in a pure software development laboratory, with a young and dynamic team who works side by side with our seniors. In our Lab you will use the latest technologies and agile methodologies to develop software products used by the largest international companies in the World.

At the same time you will have the chance to continuously experiment new technologies and processes and Your role will vary depending on project requirements. You’ll maybe join a project at the initial implementation or ideation stage, or be brought into a project midway through.

Responsibilities

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics
• 1-3 years of Java. Have a knowledge of at least one of the other most common development languages would be a plus (C / C++, JavaScript, Python)
• Basic knowledge of the most common software technologies and design patterns
• Development experience on at least one project
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts
• The work location is in Rome and that the applied working model is partially in presence, on a weekly basis. Must be available and willing to follow the model
• Fluent English
• Fluent Italian is a REQUIRED
• Provide your resume in English

What will you do once becoming more experienced

• Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
• Develop product features for a scalable and innovative product
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
