Instructional Designer (Contract, Remote)

We are seeking a creative and strategic Instructional Designer to craft impactful learning experiences that combine the best of digital and human interaction. In this role, you will partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design modern, engaging programs for adult professionals—leveraging both evidence-based instructional design principles and the latest in generative AI technologies.

Hiring Process

• We will review your application against our job requirements. We do not employ machine learning technologies during this phase as we believe every human deserves attention from another human.
• We may invite you to submit a video interview for the hiring manager’s review. This is often followed by a test or short project to determine fit.
• Next, you will interview with our hiring manager and/or interview team via live meeting or Zoom.
• If you continue to be a strong match, we will discuss the offer in a live conversation.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a background in instructional design and AI implementation
• Understands the capabilities and limitations of LLMs (like GPT-4)
• Can prototype and configure custom GPTs and similar AI tools for learning solutions
• Is detail-oriented, innovative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative environment
• Loves solving problems creatively and making learning experiences smarter and more engaging

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to design and deliver effective blended learning programs that align with business goals
• Apply principles of andragogy and evidence-based instructional design to create engaging, learner-centric experiences for adult professionals
• Design and curate blended learning solutions using a mix of learning formats (e.g., eLearning, self-paced modules, virtual training sessions, and on-the-job activities)
• Ensure instructional consistency, accessibility, and relevance of content across delivery modes
• Leverage generative AI tools, including designing and deploying custom GPTs, to support learning
• Manage project timelines, resources, and communication workflows to ensure the timely and organized execution of learning initiatives
