As an HR Partner, you will listen to Builder sentiment, connect Builders managers with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and serve as a key connector between leaders and employees.

Key Job Responsibilities

As the Data Center Operations Site HR Partner, you will innovate, implement, and deploy HR strategies across the cluster of Data Centers. Your role focuses on talent, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and leveraging Builder listening mechanisms to monitor sentiments and provide actionable updates to site leadership and HRBPs.

A Day in the Life
  • Proactively leverage Builder sentiment data to advocate for Builders’ needs and ensure they feel fully engaged.
  • Partner with leaders at multiple levels to develop proactive Builder‑experience strategies and goals.
  • Conduct weekly Gemba Go‑See (GGS) walks to engage directly with Builders.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (HRBPs, Employee Relations, Labor Relations) to align on engagement actions.
  • Apply HR fundamentals to problem‑solve and influence diverse populations.
  • Navigate a fast‑paced, complex environment driven by continuous innovation.
  • Coach and develop site leadership through decision making with empathy and sound judgement; support talent management, people development, performance management, compensation and employee‑relations issues.
  • Foster and role‑model an inclusive environment for all Builders.
  • Exercise high judgement, manage ambiguity, and act as first escalation point for Builder concerns.
  • Support Builder inquiries with discretion and expertise, applying Amazon Policies and high judgement.
  • Promote adoption of technology and self‑service tools.
  • Influence across all levels, from Builders to senior leaders.
  • Conduct workplace investigations in collaboration with Builder Relations.
  • Own and deliver site‑specific people projects in partnership with site leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Coaching and consulting skills.
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analysis, and consulting on complex performance‑management cases.
  • Employee Relations/Investigations experience.
  • Conviction, tenacity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrives in a high‑pressure ambiguous environment and can manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to bring insight to team and business.
  • High judgement, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee issues.
  • Work Council or other employee‑representative‑body (ERB) experience.
