A leading organization for major sporting events in Milan is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to oversee occupational and environmental safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in risk assessment, training management, and audit processes, ideally in construction or event management. This full-time role requires a degree and proficiency in relevant ISO standards, as well as strong computer skills. Join us in making history at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.

Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large‑scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). 

The Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position: The candidate will be placed within the Corporate Safety and Health Function and will perform and support tasks reporting to the HSE Director.

  • Contributing to the identification of risk factors, risk assessment in compliance with the Italian regulations in force.
  • Management of the organization of training and health surveillance.
  • Manage H&S requirements in the contractors contracts.
  • Elaborate, propose and promote preventive and protective measures and control systems of these measures in the field of occupational and environmental safety.
  • Carrying out internal and on‑site audits.
  • Supervise the actions defined following audits and analysis of near misses.
  • Participating in project teams for the activities in the venues as the Function's contact person.
  • Managing suppliers in charge of safety management.
  • Collaborate in relations with the competent bodies and administrations concerning the safety of workers.
  • Collaborate with the other Corporate Functions in the preparation of documentation technical/operational documentation on safety in the workplace.
  • Propose and organize training events on work safety and environmental issues.
  • Verify that suppliers operate in compliance with company HSE policies.
  • Drawing up works councils and interference management.
  • Verification of the contractor’s documents art. 26 comma 8 Dlgs 81/2008.

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years’ experience in the role, in project activities in major events companies or industry consulting companies.
  • Previous experience in construction and auditing activities is preferable.
  • Adequate knowledge of environmental legislation, occupational safety and the ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Minimum education: Degree.
  • Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of Office package. In particular, advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point. Possible certifications are a plus.
