A global engineering leader is seeking a BU SCM Digital Transformation Leader in Arese, Italy. This role involves driving the supply chain digital transformation strategy, optimizing tools and processes, and ensuring process excellence. In this role, you will be part of our Global Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization. Here, we define the overall supply chain strategy of the business unit and drive the execution across regions and factories in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. As BU SCM Digital Transformation Leader, you will be responsible for driving sustainable transformation within transformer business unit focused on digital transformation and continuous improvement in the Supply-Chain function.
You will work with SCM teams worldwide, with a wide variety of technologies and tools, coordinating digitalization and process improvement programs and leading the deployment of global strategic projects. You will be able to improve competencies in SCM through share your knowledge by delivering global trainings.
Develop and implement the SCM digital transformation strategy for the Business Unit (BU), aligning it with overarching business objectives.
Design a strategic roadmap for digital initiatives, prioritizing key projects to effectively drive the transformation.
Identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation in SCM tools (e.g., S / 4HANA, SAP Ariba) and spearhead communication and alignment with Hitachi Energy SCM teams.
Lead initiatives to improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of the SCM function by leveraging automation, IoT solutions, AI, cloud technologies, and advanced analytics for supplier interactions.
Contribute to the design of new tools and system projects within Hitachi Energy / BU and act as the business lead for trial projects and full-scale BU SCM rollouts (e.g., Resilinc Supply Chain Risk Management platform).
Ensure successful execution and integration of new systems across the BU.
Serve as the business lead for SCM digitalization projects, aligning with the broader BU digital strategy.
Drive improvements in data quality and SCM processes, implementing tools and dashboards to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure optimal SCM processes are established and maintained, leveraging available tools and data.
Oversee process validation, reviewing and approving deviations to maintain alignment with best practices.
Lead process improvement initiatives across SCM, identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing continuous improvement (CI) projects to ensure sustainable growth.
Introduce automation wherever feasible to streamline and enhance process efficiency.
Design and deliver training programs focused on SCM processes and digital tools to build expertise within the organization.
Provide ongoing expert support to the SCM community, ensuring high levels of competency and awareness.
Lead efforts to define, monitor, and optimize key SCM performance indicators (KPIs).
Drive the creation of automated dashboards to provide real-time access to critical information, reducing reliance on manual processes.
Act as a key liaison for cross-functional projects, contributing to workstreams from an SCM digitalization and continuous improvement perspective.
Support the integration of SCM into broader business transformation initiatives.
