• Endeavor is seeking to hire a Financial Controller based in Milan, Italy.
• Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Responsible for all aspects of Finance, Accounting and Tax functions for (IMG Models, Licensing + Media based in Milan) IMG ITALY SRL - Manage IMG ITALY accounting team whose main responsibilities are : - Client accounting - Billing and Credit Control - Account receivable - Account Payables Bank and Cash Management - T&E Financial check and Payment - Periodical statutory obligations (prepare, check and maintain VAT register, ledgers, fiscal reports + FATCA, etc - Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies. - Management reporting - Implement, document, and monitor accounting controls. - Prepare weekly Cash Forecast (collections and disbursements) for Models and Corporate - Month end close management, including : - Preparation of journal entries in SAP for accounting adjustments as required - Monthly analysis of actual results to budget. - Preparation of gap analysis - Ensuring that detailed balance sheet reconciliations are prepared monthly. Supervising regular clear down of balance sheet accounting entries - Monitoring accounts receivable positions, driving collections and assessing risk - Responsible for reconciliations between ICE data and SAP system interfaces. Identifying and resolving any differences - Main point of contact for questions on Italian taxation matters - Provide operations support across legal, business and HR - In cooperation with the Italian CPA : - Year-end Financial statement and statutory obligations. - Provide information and analysis to draft the Tax return. - Periodical meetings with the Auditor. - Prepare Budget and regular forecasting of P&L and cashflow for Models, Media, Licensing and Action sports, Office admin and Corporate Finance. Provide detailed explanations to Finance Director (FD) and Senior Management for approval. - Establish a close working relationship with all Italian Businesses. - Identify and support their needs. - Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new initiatives, strategies, and any regulatory requirements. - Liaise with external auditors and consultants as necessary in relation to the Italian business. - Assess the current Finance structure to improve segregation of duties and efficiencies in key finance cycles. - Implement new process to reduce manual work - Work closely with Corporate (based in US and UK), providing support on Italian company-wide issues (ie : Standardize and document policies and processes in line with companywide objectives to implement SOX and other control improvements) - Other ad-hoc reporting, due diligence assistance and analysis - SAP Customization for Italy - Relationship with Assem (Models Agencies Union) - Oversee office manager - Appointed as “Preposto” for all the H&S matters - Other duties as assigned - Arrange monthly employees’ salary payment - Prepare and post monthly salaries entry; calculate and post COP accruals - Temporary fulfil Payroll Manager position until we have identified someone
• Required Qualifications
• Established professional experience in accounting; preferably background in Big 4 or equivalent firms - Accounting qualification or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in accounting - Strong accounting skills : management experience of AP, AR, inter-company processes, month end close procedures - Experience of legal, financial and tax and payroll reporting and regulations in Italy - Knowledge of SAP - Experience of managing a team - Fluent in English - Strong written, verbal communication, and reporting skills - US GAAP experience - Self-motivated with ability to lead and teach others - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop multiple solutions - Excellent proficiency in Excel
• Working Conditions
• This is a permanent position. - The role would be based at Endeavor offices in Milan, Italy. - Working hours are 9 : 00 - 17 : 00, Monday to Friday - Occasional travel and weekend work may be required
