The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Finance, 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, and is fluent in both Italian and English. About the role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Factory Finance Analyst to join our Business Finance & Analytics Team based in Milan area.

The role will support the controlling activities of the two Italian manufacturing sites, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive plant performances and support strategic decision-making.

The Factory Finance Analyst will perform specific reporting (inventory, variance analysis, operations KPIs tracking and monitoring, month-end closing) and will support the preparation of budgets and forecasts in cooperation with all involved functions (from Commercial to Manufacturing), ensuring strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Industrial Controlling
  • Monitor and analyse industrial costs and performances (materials, direct labour, third parties, scrap, rework, production performances) for our two Italian manufacturing sites.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis vs Budget and Forecast (price, efficiency, volume, mix, overhead).
  • Support the preparation of industrial cost budgets and forecasts, coordinating with production, logistics, and purchasing departments.
  • Support standard costs calculation, ensuring accuracy of bills of materials and alignment with actual production performance.
  • Monitor and control inventory movements and value, ensuring accuracy of the data.
  • Coordinate and supervise physical inventory counts at the two Italian manufacturing sites.
Financial Reporting and Closing
  • Support monthly closing reporting activities for the two Italian plants.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries related to production, inventories, and cost centres.
  • Support the preparation of the P&L for both plants.
OPEX Reporting & Analysis
  • Monitor operating expenses for selected departments, reviewing actual spending with department managers and identifying key variances vs Budget and Forecast.
  • Support the preparation of OPEX budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group guidelines.
  • Maintain and update reporting templates and dashboards (Excel, Power BI, or ERP tools).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in controlling, accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Analytical and detail‑oriented, with interest in understanding financial and production dynamics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments (Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Accounting).
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Organized, curious, and eager to learn in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
