Job Responsibilities:

  • Specify, design, develop, and test next-generation Spacecraft Simulators for upcoming space missions.
  • Reproduce spacecraft functional behavior, including spacecraft subsystems, physical perturbations, attitude and orbital dynamics, TM/TC exchanges with Ground Control.
  • Develop simulation models for Flight and Ground systems, including On-Board Computer, Avionics, and Payload Sub-Systems.
  • Integrate and configure simulation models, share models for plug & play reuse, and plan and execute testing phases.
  • Prepare documentation such as requirements, design descriptions, interface specifications, user manuals, and validation plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (C1 or higher), both spoken and written.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of software development standards, ECSS standards (asset), SMP2 or ECSS-SMP (plus).
  • Proficient in communication systems architectures and protocols (ISO/OSI, MIL-STD-1553B, Can Bus, SpaceWire).
  • Experience with simulation model portability, space simulation architectures, real-time kernels, multi-core processors, hypervisors, instruction set emulation, and communication standards.
  • Strong team-working skills, ability to work independently, and foster co-engineering across teams.
