A leading defense and aerospace company based in Cascina Costa is seeking a professional to enhance production planning and logistic processes across Industrial Operations. The successful candidate will define KPIs for planning, support Material Management, and act as Business Process Owner for digital initiatives. A degree in a relevant field and proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerBI, and SAP ERP are required. Strong communication and problem-solving skills will be essential for success in this role.

Job Description:

The role is Cascina Costa based. This role being in the Governance, Planning & Logistics team, it is specifically linked with the entire Industrial Operations perimeter and with Geographies, some of the activities and projects being joint efforts.

Role Purpose

Grant effectiveness of Industrial Operations through production planning and logistic processes, as constantly improved, and provide periodical reporting on performances of Industrial Operations, globally and by plants, geographies and Component CoEs.

Key Accountabilities
  • Foster adoption of common material planning policies through the definition/implementation of related procedures, rules and tools.
  • Deploy inventory targets to Material Management units and pursue initiatives aimed at inventory reduction and efficiency & effectiveness improvement in Material Management.
  • Define and develop common KPI to keep under control the Planning and Material Management Process across LHD.
  • Provide methodological support to the different Material Planning & Control units across the whole LH division, aiming at improvement of capabilities and competencies and share of best practices.
  • Verify and ensure reliability, adequateness and prompt availability of all key planning parameters (lead times, lot policies, etc.) and master data (BoM, routings, configurations, etc.).
  • Act as BPO (Business Process Owner) for Digital Solution initiatives/projects in Planning and Logistics area, taking decision responsibility and ensuring that decisions are coherent with business objectives. Train and support plant key-users in adopting new solutions/processes.
Requirements
  • Educated to a degree level qualification or equivalent in a related business discipline;
  • Competency above a basic level with the following software systems: MS Excel, MS PowerBI, SAP ERP, MS Power Point;
  • Good communicator with a flexible and approach and the ability to relay concepts and conclusions effectively, to experts and non-experts, at all levels;
  • Ability to understand and quantify task contents to prioritise and assign appropriately;
  • Proven background in effective problem solving technique;
  • Project management, time management and presentation skills. Accuracy is essential;
  • Experienced in process improvement with a good understanding of a range of improvement techniques.
