Overview
Customer Project Specialist 1
- Lead small projects to achieve on-time, within budget, high-quality delivery while achieving customer satisfaction
- Responsible for project metric tracking, and managing project financials and profitability
- Identify risk, issues and develop risk response strategy
- Lead or support execution of contract Change Management process
- Manage Partner delivery and commercials when 3rd party technical delivery resources are engaged
- Conduct project support activities
- Build Cisco's project community by sharing lessons learned, best practices and participating in the PMO Role Community
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Accountable for delivery and management of schedule, scope, quality, cost and risk for small projects
- Conduct project support activities within a project or program environment, or project support services team
Scope
- Project Specialist in Theatre : typically focused on up to five (5) small customer projects when working as a Project manager
- Program Environment : Assigned to one (1) or more programs, providing project support
- CXC Project Support Team : Assigned to transactional activities across multiple projects

- College / University degree or equivalent plus 0-2 years related experience
Project Specific
- Certifications : no mandatory certification
Key Responsibilities
- Leads end-to-end project delivery against contractual requirements, revenue and profitability targets while maintaining an excellent customer experience.
- Identifies project staffing requirements, drives staffing across Cisco CX functions and coordinates project team members to drive delivery excellence within target cost, schedule, and quality.
- Owns accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting on project costs and revenues.
- Ensures the collection of lessons learned and findings to share and apply within the PM community.
- Communicates effectively with executives and various teams to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
- Identifies further growth opportunities within customer environment and engages with sales partners for pursuit; as opportunities warrant, support scoping, cost modelling and margin analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Technology or equivalent experience
- Professional PMI certification PMP or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience in running and leading customer projects
- Works effectively and efficiently in a highly matrixed environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, high personal impact, ability to work externally with customers and within Cisco organization to align priorities, resources, and handle conflict between stakeholders.
