Country Visual Merchandising Manager - Italy
Purpose of role
- Ambassador for Visual Merchandising across the appointed Region. Leads, inspires and coaches at all levels to maximise sales and deliver an outstanding visual proposition and customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for VM look and feel for all stores in the appointed region.
- Educate key stakeholders on VM Strategy and latest thinking.
- Development of the VM population in the appointed region.
- Work in partnership with Retail, Brand and cross-function stakeholders.
- Deliver new store openings, refits and extensions to the desired standard.
- Controlled management of POS for the appointed region.
- Responsible for overall management and implementation of the campaign process in the region.
- This is a field-based role that will require travel across various locations within the appointed region on a regular basis.
Key Interactions and engagement
- Communicate all information on product, layouts and visual principles to the VM Teams.
- Gather information through store visits and liaison with retail teams to improve communication methods.
- Work with VM / Regional Retail team to ensure information required is delivered concisely and within the agreed time frame.
- Manage documentation requirements for VM Controller and Visual Communications team.
- Support with guidelines for specific visual merchandising campaigns and windows.
- Support with translations of documents if required.
- Deliver workshops, classroom, shop floor & virtual, as appropriate on corporate initiatives and VM Principles to assist and develop the store teams.
- Build VM succession throughout the region to support and grow VM talent.
Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience
- Has had visual merchandising experience in a field-based role supporting multiple stores.
- Has over 5 years’ experience in visual merchandising.
- Understands the importance of cross-functional engagement.
- Clean driving licence.
- Training and coaching skills essential.

- Proven ability in managing sensitive matters whilst ensuring all Primark information remains confidential to the business.
- Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal / communication skills, while demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and possess the ability to push back with professionalism. Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
