Are you experienced in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning Processes? AWS is looking for a dynamic Commissioning Engineer (CxE) to support the delivery of AWS Data Centers. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinating and challenging problems building and supporting the operations of AWS owned data centres within the APJC region and globally. The AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery Commissioning team (DCCD Cx) understands, evaluates, defines and manages the expectations of construction and equipment quality in accordance to engineering designs to meet the customer requirements.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the multi‑discipline division of work related to pre‑commissioning and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure construction and special projects.
  • Support and supervise vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of systems including medium and low voltage power, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water, BMS, and EPMS.
  • Provide multi‑discipline input into the scheduling, designing, and planning of projects.
  • Review all multi‑discipline integrated systems testing and commissioning documents to ensure compliance with the basis of design, specifications, and standards of the project.
  • Ensure all commissioning procedures follow appropriate safety practices, policies, and procedures; participate in safety programs and audit commissioning activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with the DCCD Cx Regional Manager and the DCCD Cx team to ensure applicable test documents are created according to all commissioning requirements.
  • Generate weekly reporting of commissioning progress and metrics for assigned projects in the AWS project reporting format.
  • Work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously, under tight deadlines and prescribed metrics.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
  • 5+ years of commissioning experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
