This role offers a unique opportunity to act as a strategic partner to the CEO while driving operational excellence across a fast‑growing, global, remote‑first environment. The Chief Operating Officer will play a central role in translating vision into execution, ensuring seamless coordination across all business functions. With broad exposure to strategy, finance, operations, product, and people leadership, this position combines high‑level decision‑making with hands‑on execution. You will influence company‑wide priorities, optimize performance and scalability, and help guide the organization through its next phase of growth. Accountabilities
  • Act as the CEO’s right hand, providing strategic counsel and operational leadership while representing executive leadership in key operational matters.
  • Translate company strategy into clear operational plans, driving execution across departments and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, implementing scalable processes, systems, and best practices to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Establish, monitor, and optimize KPIs to track operational health, identify bottlenecks, and drive data‑informed decisions.
  • Lead cost optimisation initiatives, including budget ownership, expense analysis, vendor negotiations, and resource allocation to maximise ROI.
  • Oversee cross‑functional strategic projects, defining governance, timelines, milestones, and success metrics to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to align roadmaps with business strategy, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, compliance requirements, and represent the organisation externally when required.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations within high‑growth technology or SaaS environments.
  • Strong expertise in financial management, cost optimisation, and budget ownership with measurable impact.
  • Extensive experience leading complex, cross‑functional projects and driving organisational change.
  • Deep understanding of product development processes and technology roadmap management.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in e‑commerce, payments, or fintech sectors, with strong technical acumen.
  • Demonstrated success working with remote or distributed teams and supporting a CEO or founder in an executive capacity.
