Overview

On behalf of our client, a fast-growing private equity–backed business, we are seeking a high‑calibre Financial Controller to lead financial operations in Italy. The role suits a technically strong professional with a Big 4 background and proven experience in a PE or high‑growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, reporting, and cash management.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance (IFRS / Italian GAAP).
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
• Maintain robust internal controls and support audit processes.
• Partner with management and investors on financial strategy and performance.
• Drive process improvement and support M&A and integration activity.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, etc.) preferred.
• Background in Big 4 audit or advisory.
• Experience in a PE‑backed or high‑growth company.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Hands‑on, analytical, and commercially minded.
