A leading technology company in Genoa is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Control Center & Maintenance Engineer. The role involves a range of tasks including help desk support for maintenance activities, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and be fluent in both English and Italian. This position is critical in providing 24/7 maintenance operations.

Competenze

• 0 to 3 years experience in maintenance activities or equivalent.
• Knowledge of railway safety rules & regulations is essential.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

• Perform help desk activities for remote and centralized maintenance.
• Guarantee maintenance task performance starting, closing, and logistics.
• Monitor and analyze reliability & maintainability figures of equipment.

Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Control Center & Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy.

Accountabilities

• Help desk activities for remote and centralized Maintenance activities
• Guarantee corrective and preventive maintenance task starting, performance and closing including associated logistics and spares activities
• Monitoring and analysis of Reliability & Maintainability figures and operational performance of in-service equipment; support trouble shooting and fault finding activities
• Updating and maintaining “as maintained” SW & HW Configuration
• Reporting activities

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area or equivalent technical background
• From 0 up to 3 years experience in maintenance activities or equivalent
• Testing and fault finding
• Incident/accident investigation
• Knowledge of technologies and maintenance
• Railway Safety Rules & Regulations
• Statistical analysis and data management
• Use of maintenance tools
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of HW infrastructures (Server, Storage and Blade)
• Knowledge of virtualized environments
• Knowledge of network infrastructures
• Knowledge of the English language
• Troubleshooting ability

The maintenance activity is provided 24 x 7 and the technicians are organized in shifts.

Education/Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area or Equivalent Technical Background.

Languages

Italian mother tongue. Fluent in English.
