Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer required to join a global leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful candidate will work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams, supporting technical applications from opportunity identification through to concept development, quoting, validation, and post-sale support for compressed air projects.

Ideal candidates will have experience in technical engineering applications, technical support, or sales within compressed air, fluid power systems, or similar fields, with proficiency in CAD software. Fluency in French is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and product teams to identify customer application needs and deliver tailored technical recommendations.
• Provide technical training and application support to customers and distribution partners across the EMEA region.
• Prepare technical quotations, proposals, and costings for bespoke compressed air and industrial equipment solutions.
• Support customer validation processes and product feasibility studies, including design input and testing protocols.
• Act as the primary technical liaison throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring technical accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience in applications engineering, technical support, or internal sales/design within manufacturing, capital equipment, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of compressors, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with ERP and CRM platforms such as SAP and Salesforce; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Technical mechanical engineering degree, HND, BEng, or similar is advantageous.
• Fully remote role with regular customer visits across Europe, mainly Germany, Spain, and Italy.
• Fluent French speaking is essential.
