Job summary

A well-established engineering firm in Halifax is seeking TIG Welders / Fabricators to join their team on a permanent basis. This workshop-based position requires TIG welding on various materials and fabrication of components. Candidates should have previous experience, be reliable, and able to interpret engineering drawings. Pay rates range from £14 to £18 per hour depending on experience. This role offers Monday to Friday working hours with the potential for working away when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous TIG welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Ability to work accurately from engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Willingness to work away when required.

Responsibilities

  • TIG welding on a variety of materials.
  • Fabrication of components and assemblies.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Cutting, shaping, and preparing materials.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
  • Carrying out quality checks to meet specifications.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
