Job summary
A leading security company is seeking full-time security officers for Birmingham Airport. This role includes patrolling, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to incidents. The position offers flexible shifts and a competitive pay structure ranging from £20.50 to £25.50 per hour with guaranteed 45-60 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities
- Patrol and secure locations by inspecting buildings and access points.
- Monitor surveillance systems to identify potential threats.
- Control access by checking identification and logging entries.
- Respond to incidents by investigating alarms and addressing concerns.
- Enforce regulations by ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Report and document incidents, maintaining accurate logs.
Skills
We are looking for a number of full time security officers to start work at Birmingham Airport.
Multiple locations available
Permanent work offered.
Day , night and weekend shifts available
You can choose to work days or just nights + weekends
Day shifts 8 am till 6 pm or 8 am till 8 pm paying £20.50 hour
Night shifts 8 pm till 8 am paying £22.50 hour
Weekends and overtime paid at £25.50 hour
We pay weekly every Friday.
45-60 hours per week guaranteed.
- Patrolling and Securing: Regularly inspecting buildings, perimeters, and access points to ensure they are secure and free from hazards.
- Monitoring Surveillance Systems: Observing CCTV cameras and other security systems to identify and respond to potential threats or unusual activity.
- Controlling Access: Checking identification, logging entries and exits, and access to restricted areas.
- Responding to Incidents: Investigating alarms, handling, and taking appropriate action to address safety or security concerns.
- Enforcing Regulations: Ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures, and resolving conflicts or disturbances.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining logs, writing incident reports, and communicating any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Observational Skills: Ability to notice potential threats or suspicious behaviour.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for reporting and interacting with others.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions.>
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to de-escalate tense situations and find peaceful solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with security equipment, surveillance systems, and basic computer applications.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and potentially handle physical situations.
- Professionalism: Maintaining a calm, courteous, and reassuring presence.
