Freight Coordinator – Manchester Airport

Location: Manchester Airport, hybrid (2-3 days per week)


Responsibilities


  • Adhere to strict standard operating procedures coordinating transport demands through dedicated network and 3PL resources.

  • Input and update internal records related to transport requirements via in-house systems and third‑party booking management accurately.

  • Participate in daily and weekly client/internal conference calls to implement operational changes and address requirements and challenges.

  • Reconcile weekly/monthly invoices for third‑party transport partners.

  • Generate daily exception reports and investigate/intervene where appropriate.

  • Provide temperature information for client shipments as required.

  • Proactively review administration, transport and cost efficiencies.

  • Respond to and provide administrative support on client locations via telephone, email and written postal correspondence.

  • Adapt to evolving role demands and challenges.

  • Enter transport activities in real time into in‑house systems.

  • Produce delivery documentation in real time to ensure timely dispatch.

  • Monitor temperature‑controlled deliveries within SOP.

  • Reconcile invoices for third‑party providers on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Provide temperature information for client shipments through the Polar Speed network.

  • Achieve significant cost and time‑saving efficiencies.

  • Develop staff experience and competencies within the team.
