A construction and maintenance company in Portsmouth is seeking a motivated Trainee Door Entry/IRS/Auto Door Engineer. This permanent role includes a comprehensive two-year training program with hands-on experience and structured learning. Candidates must have GCSEs including Maths and English and a commitment to learning and safety. The starting salary is £26,737, increasing upon successful completion of training.

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Trainee Door Entry/IRS/Auto Door Engineer. This is a permanent position that includes a two year comprehensive internal training programme, ideal for someone eager to develop new skills and progress their career.
As a Trainee, you will work alongside our experienced tradespeople to support a variety of repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks in customers’ homes as well as communal areas within the main building.
Throughout your traineeship, you will be guided by skilled trade professionals and a dedicated mentor who will provide regular feedback and support to help you develop your skills and progress with confidence.
This is a two-year programme that combines hands-on work experience with structured learning. You will spend time working alongside your mentor while also attending training courses as required. Please note that some courses may involve overnight stays.

The starting salary is £26,737, rising to the full Door Entry Engineer salary upon successful completion of an estimated two-year training programme.
