Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Edinburgh, UK (Hybrid)
Contract: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Controller to lead our finance function, ensuring robust financial management and supporting our scaling journey. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment, enjoys building financial processes from the ground up, and wants to make a real impact in biotech innovation.

• Own month-end and year-end close, producing accurate financial reports and insights.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning across all functions.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure financial sustainability through growth.
• Build and maintain internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Partner with leadership on strategic decision-making, fundraising, and investor reporting.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and support a growing finance team.
• Ensure UK statutory and tax compliance, while preparing for international expansion.

• 5+ years in financial control, ideally in biotech, manufacturing, or high-growth startups.
• Experienced in financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance.
• Strong communicator who can translate numbers into strategy.
• Tech-savvy with accounting/Xero/ERP software and advanced Excel/financial modelling skills.
• Adaptable, proactive, and excited to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative startup.
